How can we adjust specifications if the price exceeds our budget?

Two honest paths: (A) switch metal domes to poly domes, −standard%, softer feel, ~500k cycles; (B) standard PET without hard coat for indoor use, −standard%. If the product is for your specific equipment, I'd keep the spec and discuss volume instead. Which direction fits?
